A lot of rain today! It was strange for Arles, but, after my first class, it was hot again. The last lunch together was, for me, at Le cDc (Cuisine de Comptoir). I chose different dish this time and tried the white cheese with maple syrup. The theater class was to finish a film of Antigone. I went to the post office to buy a box to send my hockey skates to the States along with other things. It was a little expensive and I wasn’t able to send a lot. I tried to take a bus to the beach but I forgot that certain buses only go during school sessions. At home, I ate pasta with my host mom. She bought Nutella. I wrote 28 post cards and talked with my host mom about American expressions like “uh-huh” and “uh-uh”. She didn’t know the sounds, thus I confirmed that one could say sounds incomprehensible to other cultures without knowing. At that moment, we saw a grey cat hunting on the neighbor’s roof. He was looking for birds for a long time. In the evening, I filled my luggage and found some friends by the Rhone for Erin’s birthday. Tomorrow is the last day of the program.
Cat on a hot tin roof! Except it’s not tin…
